How it works
Carbooks does a few things no other booking app does.
Here’s what they are, in plain English.
Rev, your right hand
Rev, your receptionist out front and your hands-on assistant behind the desk.
Rev answers your customers' messages for you. It finds a free time, books them in and takes the deposit. It can move a booking too. If it's not sure, it asks you.
And for you: Rev fills in your services when you start, tells you how your day looks when you ask, shows you who's due back and suggests a promotion when things go quiet.
For example
Darren messages at 9:52pm about an MOT for his Focus on Saturday. Rev books him in with Steve at 8:30 while you're on the sofa.
No more answering messages at midnight.

alright, any chance of an MOT saturday? it's a focus
Hi Darren! Steve's free at 8:30. A £10 deposit holds it. Here's the link.

Morning, how's today looking?
5 bookings today, Darren's Focus first at 8:30. Three regulars are due back. Want me to suggest an offer?
Go on then
Just for you, the owner.
Deposits that hold the slot
You choose the deposit. The customer pays it when he books. No deposit, no slot.
For example
Darren pays £10 to book Saturday at 8:30. If he doesn't show, the £10 is yours to keep, if you choose.
Fewer no-shows. And when one happens, you're not out of pocket.

Circles: get paid for recommending
Customer Circles: your regulars share their own link with friends. You choose the thank-you, £ off or % off their next visit. Every time a regular brings someone new, Carbooks adds it on its own.
Business Circles: you and the tyre fitters, valeters and body shops you already recommend send each other customers. When you send a customer to a business in your Circle, their thank-you goes into your account. Money in the bank for a recommendation you were making anyway.
You agree the thank-you between you, a set amount or a percent, and you can counter-offer. Carbooks keeps count.
For example
Darren sends his link to his mate Liam, who books an interim service. Darren gets £5 off his next visit. Then Darren needs two new tyres, so you send him to Wobblewheel Tyres, and their thank-you lands in your account.
New customers from people who already trust you, and money for the ones you send on.

Vehicle records: every car remembered
Every vehicle has its own record: the car, when its MOT's due, its service history and photos. It's there every time they book.
For example
Before Darren's Focus goes on the ramp, Steve can see it had an interim service in May and the rear wiper sticks. No digging through old notes.
Quicker jobs, and every customer feels you know his car.

Gift vouchers: an easy present
Sell gift vouchers for birthdays, Christmas or a thank-you, like a valet or a service. When someone comes in with one, it comes off what he owes.
For example
Darren's sister got him a valet voucher for his birthday. He mentions it when he books, and Rev sorts it.
An easy present for your regulars to buy, and new faces through the door.

Good questions
What can Rev do on its own?
Answer messages, book customers in, take the deposit and move bookings. On Workshop, it sorts gift vouchers too. For you, it also fills in your services for you to check, tells you how your day looks when you ask, shows who's due back and suggests promotions. Anything it's not sure about, it passes to you.
Is Rev on every plan?
Yes. Each plan comes with a set number of chats a month. We'll show how many when we set the prices.
What happens if a car doesn't turn up?
You can keep the deposit, or give it back. It's your choice. You also choose how much notice customers need to give to get it back if they cancel.
Are gift vouchers on every plan?
No, they're on Workshop. Everything else on this page comes with both plans.
What it costs is on the pricing page.
Want Rev on your front desk?
Every plan starts with 30 days free. Join the waitlist and we'll tell you first when we open.
