The classic Ford Model T was born in 1908 and sold over 15 million vehicles, enabling Ford to buy Lincoln for luxury cars and to set-up Mercury for mid-priced cars. In 1956 Ford went public enabling the company to expand overseas, including Ford Europe in 1967. Today, Ford Motor Company is a family of automotive brands consisting of: Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin, and Volvo.
