TVR Engineering was formed in 1947 by TreVoR Wilkinson in Blackpool, with the first true TVR built in 1949. In 1995 TVR installed a de-tuned version of their Speed 8 V8 engine into the TVR Cerbera producing the first of the real TVR Sportscars.
